Of the three drug abusers who reportedly stole things from Khekman Boys' Primary School, two have given in AMADA Moijing Local Council.
The two drug abusers who stole things to buy drugs were paraded before media persons today before they were handed over to their family members.
Speaking to reporters today, secretary of the Moijing AMADA Local Council Md Yahiya Khan said that its volunteers launched an intensive search in Moijing area following complaints by the Headmaster, pradhan and Meira Paibis that some articles of the primary school have gone missing on April 2.In the course of the search, the lost articles were recovered from the home of one Md Mahiruddin (50) of Thoubal Moijing in the afternoon of April 2.The stolen goods of the school include 23 pieces of wooden planks and 40 pieces of wooden beams meant for making desks and benches besides some nails, two pieces of hinges and lockpad.
Out of these, 17 pieces of planks and 33 beams have been recovered.
As for the remaining goods, the Moijing AMADA Local Council have warned the thieves to produce the articles within April 10.The drug abusers who stole the goods are identified as Md Farooq Khan (25), Md Liyaqat (35) and Md Ziaol Haque (38) all belonging to Thoubal Moijing.
Of the three, Md Ziaol Haque is still absconding.
He has been warned to surrender within April 10.On the assurance of Md Farooq Khan and Md Liyaqat that they would produce all the lost items within April 10, they were handed over to their family members, conveyed Md Yahiya Khan.
