Physically challenged mother of two donates all her organs

In a heartwarming incident, one Eche Leima Chinglai alias Jibanlata, a 55 year old physically challenged woman who is also a mother of two, decided to donate all her body organs to RIMS Anatomy Department so that they can be given to those in need after her death.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Eche Leima Chinglai of Heirangoi Thong Maibam Leikai, said that she was not born physically challenged but her condition is the result of polio infection while she was an infant.
She conveyed that from a young age she has always wanted to do something for the society but her dreams were shattered due to her physical condition which rendered her unable to do anything.
However, she decided to help others in a way she can by donating all her organs, so that instead of being lost after her death, her organs will be able to give a new lease of life to other people.
She also clarified that her decision was not taken under any influence from anyone but comes from her heart.
She narrated that she often come across various advertisements of needy peoples seeking organ donors from time to time and looking after such pleas she decided to take action.
Through her eyes, a blind person will able to see the beauty of the world, she emotionally said.
She also asked others to voluntarily donate their organs for bringing happiness to the needy people.
