Forest Guards complete training

The convocation ceremony for the 44th batch Forest Guards' 2011-12 course of the Forest Training School, Manipur was held today at the Langol Hill, Luwangsangbam premises of the School.
As chief guest of the function, Principal Chief Conservator of forest (IFS) AK Rana suggested that training for Forest Guards should include comprehensive course on conservation of forests for their tasks are normally associated with the protection of the environment.
Exhorting Forest Guards to contribute their mite in maintaining the ecological balance, he also stated that without the cooperation and contribution of the common masses Forest Department personnel alone cannot prevent exploitation of the forests and its resources.
Additional PCF (Wild Life) IFS Dr Anilkumar, who also addressed the gathering prevailed upon the trainee pass-outs to translate invaluable knowledge gained during the training course into effective and purposeful activities.
