The MLA made the assurance today during an inspection of road development work under MGNREGS at Arapti Bokul Makhong area.
Noting that despite convenient source of water the water supply scheme at Arapti Chinggol Leikai (Bokul Makhong) remains defunct for the past eight years, he also informed that the scheme is under the PHED Thoubal
Division.
Further stating that laying of pipe for the said scheme had been completed many years back, Thamarjit reiterated that all relevant measures would be taken up to provide drinking water in Arapti area within April.
Noting that construction of the bridge over the iril river is almost complete, the MLA regretted that quality has not been maintained in the construction of Rajendra Girls School in Arapti under the SSA programme thereby liable to compromising safety of the students.
