Labourer murdered in Ukhrul

Ukhrul, July 24 2015 :
Kh Jiten Singh (35) S/o Kh Shamu Singh of Huikap Makha Leikai was found brutally murdered inside his kitchen yesterday.
It is suspected that Jiten may have been killed by his associates who were working together at the saw mills in Ukhrul.
The incident occurred yesterday at around 4.30 pm at Ngashan Tang Hungpung, Ukhrul.
The act murder was first detected by the saw mill owner's wife, as she saw a dog licking blood coming out from the kitchen.
On further inspection, Jiten was found lying in a pool of blood.
According to the police, the prime suspects i the murder case are Jiten's two associates Konthoujam Ibomcha alias Tobacco 34 S/o Late K Shamu Singh and Sarangthem Chandra Babu Singh 40 S/o S Koireng.
All the three labourers to Ukhrul on July 21 .
They all came from the Huikap Makhai Leikai, Imphal East as saw mill labourers.
He was murdered on the second day at their kitchen.
The primary motive and reason for the murder is yet to be established and the case is under investigation.
Inspector P Longpinao in his statement, said that Jiten's throat and abdomen were slit by a sharp knife.
Due to the cut on the abdomen, the internal organs had started oozing out.
The police have arrested the two accused labourers and are presently under custody at Ukhrul police station.
A case has been registered against them under case No.17 (7) 2015 Ukl/PS (U) 302/34 IPC.
Jiten Singh is survived by his wife and two children.
Information has been relayed to the family of Jiten, the body will be handed over after post mortem.
The two accused were produced before the CJM Court today at about 3 pm, Ukhrul after which they were remanded for another 4 days for further investigation.
In the meantime, the Hungpung VA secretary YL Ayung has strongly condemned the brutal murder of Jiten.
The village folks have also shared solidarity with the bereaved family.
