Soso Lorho no more

Former Minister Soso Lorho passed away due to an illness at Imphal Hospital yesterday midnight.
He was 73 years old.
The body of the former Minister was brought back to his official residence at Poumai Colony, Sangakpam where many paid their last respects and tributes to Soso Lorho.
His body will be taken to his birth place at Tunggam Afii village, Senapati district as well as various other locations of Mao for the people to pay their last respect before being buried tomorrow.
Soso Lorho was elected to the Manipur Legislative Assembly (1980, 1985 and 1990) thrice on the Congress ticket from Mao Assembly Constituency.
He was also the general secretary of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee from 1972 to 1978 and he was also the NPF State president from 2012 to 2014 .
CM N Biren Singh has condoled the demise of Soso Lorho.
Stating that the State has lost one of the greatest politicians and public leaders of the time, the CM conveyed condolences and prayed to the Almighty to give strength to the family members for the loss.
President of NPF Manipur State Unit, Awangbow Newmai also expressed profound grief over the sudden demise of Soso Lorho, the advisor of NPF.
A statement issued by the secretary NPF Manipur State Unit mentioned that Soso Lorho contributed a lot in strengthening the party and even though the party has lost a great leader, his exemplary life will continue to inspire the partymen.The president, on behalf of all the partymen also extended condolences to the bereaved family members and wished for the departed soul to rest in peace.
A condolence meeting was also held today at the office premises of Manipur Ex-MLA Welfare Association in connection with the sudden demise of Soso Lorho.
The ex-members offered sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
