Many condole Nongthombam Bimol Meitei

Condolences continue to pour in over the demise of Nongthombam Bimol Meitei, president of Manipur Peace and Integrity Council (MAPI Council) who succumbed to COVID-19 on August 13 at JNIMS.
Mourning his demise, a condolence meeting was held at Wangkhei Meetei Leikai at Langol jointly organised by People's Action for National Democratic Movement (PANDM), International Peace & Social Advancement (IPSA), All Club Organisation Association Manipur Lup (ACOAM Lup), Indigenous People's Association Kangleipak (IPAK), Kangleipak Students Association (KSA), Kanglei Apunba Meira Lup (Kangla Mei), Chanura Lamchinglen Kangleipak (CLK) and Kanglei Ima Lup (KIL) .
During the condolence meeting, his pivotal role in the struggles to protect the integrity of Manipur were remembered and two minute silence was observed in respect of the departed soul, said a press release jointly issued by the aforesaid organisations.
The Peoples Task Force for COVID-J9 has expressed grief over the demise Nongthombam Bimol who was also a co-convenor of task force which has been actively engaged in raising awareness on Covid and other relief activities.
As a co-convenor of the task force formed by 46 civil society organisations, he worked diligently in disseminating awareness to save lives, PTFC-19 recalled during a condolence meeting held on August 14 .
Joint Students Co-ordination Committee (JSCC) formed by the prominent student bodies of the State namely AMSU, MSF, KSA and SUK, Union of Social Upliftment, Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System and Co-ordinating Body Khurai too mourned the demise of Nongthombam Bimol and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace.
