Maharaja Bodhchandra College hosts seminar

A one day State level seminar on �Higher Education in Manipur: Problems & Prospects" was held at Maharaja Bodhchandra College, Imphal.
The seminar was sponsored by the Directorate of University & Higher Education, Government of Manipur.
Dr RK Yaishkul , Addl.
Director, University and Higher Education, was the chief guest of the inaugural function of the seminar.
Dr S.Gunadhor, retd.Principal, RKSanatombi Devi College of Education, Imphal was the guest of honour and Dr Th Manihar, Principal, MB College, Imphal presided the inaugural function.
12 resource persons from various colleges of Manipur and Manipur University presented papers in the seminar.
The seminar culminated with a valedictory speech given by Karam Monoranjan, Associate Professor, Department of English, MB College, Imphal.
A paper titled, �Higher Education in Manipur: Challenges and Suggested Inter- ventions", presented by P.Sharatchandra, former Principal Secretary, Government of Manipur was the key highlight of the seminar, which attracted critical appreciations during the seminar.
He appealed that teachers should be guided by the principle of giving, just like rivers, which never drink the water.
They must be like fruit bearing trees, which only gives fruits to others but never eats the fruits, and like the clouds, which give us rainfall".
