Imphal, September 10 2016:
All Manipur Madrassa Modernisation Teachers' Welfare Association has rubbished Wakf Board Chaiperson and Wabagai AC MLA Fajur Rahim's allegations that the Directorate of Personnel and Finance did not give their approval in the creation of 150 Madrassa teacher's posts under Wakf Board in 2010 .
Speaking to media persons today All Manipur Madrassa Modernisation Teachers' Welfare Association vice president Arshad Ali said the MLA's allegations are totally baseless.
He questioned why the DP and Finance, after remaining silent for 5 long years, was contending that there was no approval for the 150 posts.
It was the duty of the Government to obtain approval of the concerned department.
The candidates have nothing to do with it, he said.
Monthly salary of the Madrassa teachers for March 2013 to February 2014 and March 2015 to August 2016 has not been cleared till date.
The association has staged various forms of protests demanding clearance of the pending salaries but no positive step has been taken by the State Government till date, he lamented.
The association will continue to stage democratic protests until their demands are met, he added.
