Imphal, March 09 2017:
Chief Electoral Officer VK Dewangan has stated that the votes for the 11th State Assembly election would be counted in 33 counting halls and ample security measures have been taken up for smooth and peaceful operation.
The voting will start from 8 am of March 11 at the district head quarters of Tamenglong, Chandel, Senapati, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Imphal West, Imphal East and Ukhrul as well as Jiribam and Kangpokpi.
30 companies of Central Paramilitary forces will be deployed for security purposes and the counting hall as well as the strong room containing the EVM will be under CCTV surveillance, the CEO added.
