Sora continues its protest against the proposed construction of National Sports University at Yaithibi Loukon.
Khongjom Circle Sports and Development organisation (KCDSO) in the meantime, continued the restriction of movements of Sora villagers today.
The organisation also burnt effigies of Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel and former BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba at Yaithibi Loukon today decrying their proposal to construct National Sports University at another site.
KCDSO in a statement said it will launch various forms of agitation in case the Government do not make up its mind and declare Yaithibi Loukon as the approved site for the construction of the university by November 15 .
Further, the organisation said it will suspend its protest till November 16 while urging Sora villagers to stop protesting against the construction of the sports university at Yaithibi Loukon.
It has also appealed to the State Government to provide full compensation to the farmers of Sora for their land.
In the meantime, Islamic Youth Educational and Cultural Organisation (IYECO) have urged the State Government to initiate the construction of the university at Yaithibi Loukon at the earliest.
