KSO Imphal seeks probe over death of CRPF jawan

The Kuki Students' Organization-Imphal (KSO-I) has sought immediate investigation in connection with the death of CRPF jawan Paolenmoi Singsit from Motbung yesterday evening near Lamshang .
General Secretary of KSO-I, Khaiminlen Doungel said that the deceased Paolenmoi Singsit who hailed from Motbung Lhungjang Veng (Colony) served in the 87th Bn CRPF and underwent Yoga course at GC Langjing and was reportedly said to have expired yesterday in a road mishap near Lamshang at around 7 pm .
He said that the deceased was on stationed leave and was heading towards his residence at Motbung in Kangpokpi district .
He continued that the wife of the deceased, Neinu Singsit suspects foul play regarding the incident and submitted a complaint letter against the death of her husband to the Officer-in-Charge of Lamshang Police Station today demanding a special investigation.
Doungel also said that Neinu Singsit, in her complaint letter, addressed to the OC that she is not satisfied with the unnatural death of her husband Paolenmoi Singsit and wants the authority concerned to investigate the matter seriously .
He pointed out that, according to the complaint, the wife of the deceased expressed that she personally went to the incident site for details and enquiry and suspected that her husband’s death was not due to the accident but succumbed to a brutal assault .
Doungel further said that the student body will not remain a mute spectator if their demand is not heard within the stipulated time.
