The 1st Inter-school essay, painting and ex-tempore speech competition organised by All Manipur Students� Union (AMSU), Chandel District Committee from May 4 concluded at the office building of Citizen Welfare Club, Moreh Bazar today.
On the last day of the competition today, prizes were to the winners of various competitions.
The function was attended by Ph Ibohal Singh ADC i/c as chief guest and Sunil Agarwal, president, AMSU, Chandel District Committee as functional president and Y Chandramani O.C Moreh Police Station and Th Ibungo Meetei, vice president of MCM as guests of honour.
In the painting competition for senior category N Nabachandra Singh of Dr Colvin Academy won the first prize, Paujamuan Gangte of Netaji Memorial English High School won the second prize and Damneikim Singsit of St.George High School won the third prize.
In the Junior Category of the competition Letkhosei of Mount Moreh Public School, Lunminlal of Mount Moreh Public School and Thangminlal Baite of Netaji Memorial Eng School won first, second and third position respectively.
In the Essay writing competition G Vikneshori of Netaji Memorial Eng School, Lalcha Singsit of Dr Colvin Academy and Priyanka Agrawal of St George English School won the Ist, 2nd and the 3rd prizes respectively in the Senior category while Ngaineilhing of Mount Moreh Public School, Chinjaching Vaiphei of Mount Moreh Public School and Lalminlen Haokip of St.George English School won the first, the second and the third prizes respectively in the Junior category.
In the Ex-tempore Speech competition, Themneilhing of St.George English School, Jemisya Banu of All Community Welfare School and V Prasad of St George English School secured the first three top positions respectively.
