Imphal, January 29:
Manipur stands tall in two major fields in the country; one is in the field of sports and the other is in art and culture.
Art works of the State are in high demand outside the State, which shows that we are moving in the right track, observed Manipur Art and Culture Minister, Pheiroijam Parijat Singh today while speaking at the distribution ceremony of Manipur State Kala Academy (MSKA) Awards at the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy hall in Imphal.
He also said that in an endeavor to preserve the art and culture of the State, the State Government is setting up dances and art colleges.
He said that the State Government should assist all awardees including medical care because they (aged awardees) are the assets of the State to guide our younger generation in the field of art and culture.
