Consultative meeting on Manipur Vision 2032 conducted

In view of the 'Manipur Vision 2032' launched by the State Government to bring change and development to the State, a district level public-people's consultative meeting was held at Bishnupur Municipal Council conference hall, today .
The meeting was organised by People's Resource Development Association (PRDA) Bishnupur and Coalition for Advocacy on Lifelong Learning (CALL) Manipur, assisted by Bishnupur district administration and Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP) .
Manipur University's CSSEIP Director, Bijoykumar, Bishnupur Municipal Council Chairperson, L Maniyaima Singh, Ningthoukhong Municipal Council Chairperson, K Mani Singh and ex-Minister, Kh Punilata Singh, attended the event as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively .
Councillors of both Ningthoukhong and Bishnupur and NGOs representative also took part in the function among others .
The first round of the panel discussion deliberated on development, conflicts and environmental situation on a State level.
The second round of the meeting discussed the probability or success rate of implementing UN's Sustainable Development goals point 17 in the State and if so, the steps to be taken up the State Government in implementing the said programme.
The third and last round of the consultative meet debated on the SDGs list which have been approved by all while drafting the Manipur Vision 2032 .
Speaking at the function, Bijoykumar stated that the newly introduced Manipur Vision 2032, has many improved elements which differs from Manipur Vision 2020 .
He expressed the need to deliberate the point 17 thoroughly so that development, welfare and change is brought in the State.
