Kayisii opens temporary 'One Stop Centre' at Senapati

Senapati, November 17 2019:
Considering the women as vulnerable to all kinds of atrocities and abuses, the District Administration, Senapati has set up a temporary 'One Stop Centre' at DRDA Building, behind Old DC Office, Senapati.
The inaugural function was graced by N Kayisii, Minister Tribal Affairs & Hills and Fisheries, Govt of Manipur as the chief guest in the presence of DC, SP, SDOs/BDMs of different blocks, District Level Officers and District Civil Society Organizations.

Somorjit Salam, DC Senapati, in his welcome address, informed the gathering that the centre is a very important facility for the district adding that women in distress affected by violence in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace who are facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse irrespective of age, class, caste, educational status, marital status, race and culture will be facilitated with support and redressed.
The centre is mandated by the Supreme Court of India to take up different beneficial services for the welfare of the women in the country, he added.
