Imphal, July 24 2013:
With the last semester result of the four-year Engineering examination yet to be declared inspite of the MPSC-conducted competitive exami- nation 2013 set to be held in a few days time, candidates desirous of appearing at the said examination have urged MPSC authorities to delay form submission deadline.
Speaking to media persons at Palace Compound today, some parents/guardians, whose wards are yet to submit form due to delay in declaration of the engineering examination result, informed that the MPSC is likely to conduct the combined competitive examination to recruit assistant engineers in Works, Power, PHE and IFC departments in between August 1 to 3 .
Conceding that students awaiting 4-year engineering degree course result would not be unable to fully comply with the MPSC norms, they also opined that 181 candidates yet to get admit card for the upcoming competitive examination might be due to filling up form and submitting the same but without relevant documents.
Suggesting that either the MPSC accommodate the left candidates or defer form submission deadline, the parents pledged that they will not raise objection if the said candidates cannot produce valid documents at the time of interview.
They further conveyed that a meeting of parents/guardians would be held at Manipur Press Club on July 26 to decide on the future of their wards in connection with the MPSC's combined competitive examination.
