In the midst of rising educated unemployed in the society, the story of an illiterate father with five kids who supports his family by working as a barber, iron smith, cobbler, repairing umbrellas and artisan has inspired many people.
Speaking to Hills Hornbill Express, 43 years old S Lokho s/o Sanii who hails from Makhufii Paomata Centre under Senapati district shared his inspirational and yet struggling story.

He has been working as an iron smith, cobbler, repairing umbrellas and as an artisan with available materials from the village for some years now.
He also said that three years ago he opened a small hair salon as a barber in his locality.
On query about his education, Lokho honestly informed that his parents could not send him to school and he being the eldest child obeyed his parents to take care of his younger brothers and sisters (6 brothers and 3 sisters) and also helped his father in buffalo herding.
He said "I never regret and pity myself for being illiterate; rather I focus on God's given talent to earn for my living" .
He thanked God for granting him good health so that he could work and earn.
He also appealed to the youths to concentrate on something and earn for living and never waste their lives by doing nothing.
On being asked about any support/assistance, Lokho said that he hasn't received any financial support from the Government/organisations/individual so far though many people have appreciated his work.
It may be mentioned that Lokho married his wife Tuorou in 2002 from Liyai village and was blessed with 5 children.
He also currently works as a Church caretaker in his local Church.
