The Chandel Naga People's Organisation has urged contractors and sub-contractors entrusted to develop the Pallel-chandel road stretch under the ACA programme to state their position as to why the task remain incomplete at various points.
Informing that CNPO functionaries have been closely monitoring the work and is pleased upon knowing that some contractors had carried out their assigned task, the body in a release issued by its information and publicity secretary Gabriel Chinir contended that some other contractors had already withdrawn bills without actual implementation of the work.
Affirming that it would not remain muted to any negligence on the part of the contractors, CNPO asked authorities concerned to furnish to the Organisation detailed informations regarding the 2-18 kilometre Pallel-Chandel route within March 15. On the otherhand, it drew the attention of BSNL authorities to ensure its facilities serve the purpose of operating in Chandel district without any delay.
Authorities of department concerned involved in the ongoing electoral photo identity card programme are also urged to implement the same in village-to-village wise manner rather than on booth wise basis besides desiring that roster details be highlighted through both print and electronic media.
