PANDM celebrates 5th foundation day

The skeletal remains discovered from Tombisana High School was not an isolated incident, there were reports of skeletons found in Bishnupur, claimed People's Action For National Democratic Movement (PANDM) president Yumnamcha Dilipkumar on the 5th foundation day of the organisation held today at Manipur Press Club.
Dilipkumar further said that human skeletons were discovered when construction works of a VDF post was initiated recently near Chothe village in Bishnupur district headquarters.
He alleged that the State Government has been trying hard to conceal the incident.
To uncover the truth behind the skeletons discovered from Tombisana High School, a Special Investigating Team comprising of experts form various fields like law, forensic and others should be constituted.

He further said that people of the State now have a new enemy called "corruption".
Even though Government officials talk about curbing corruption, their attitude has never changed.
A new campaign "Zero Corruption" needs to be started at the earliest so the new generation can be freed from the evils of corruption.
He assured that PANDM would work incessantly for development and welfare of the State and added that the integrity of the State should not be challenged by any section of the society.
RK Rajendra, retd Lt Col and former member of Manipur Human Rights Commission attended the function as the chief guest, Yumnamcha Dilipkumar, president PANDM as functional president and N Shanta, National Awardee, chairman cum managing director, Manipur Finance and Bussiness Ltd as guest of honour.
Speaking at the function RK Rajendra said that Manipur happens to be a strategic place and so the influx of refugees and foreigners has increased manifold.
To crub the influx of refugees, Manipur need property laws like Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
If an effective property law is put in place, no outsider can buy any land in any part of the State.
Such a system can prove to be a succesful mechanism for saving the indigenous populace of Manipur, he said.
He further urged the people of the State to protest against the inactivity of the State Government with regard to the mass movements for saving the indigenous people of Manipur.
He said, the attention of Human Rights Commission should be drawn to this matter.
He further said many foreigners from Myanmar, Bangladesh and other neighbouring States have migrated to Manipur taking advantage of the State Government's leniency.
Moreover, these migrants have been formenting distrust and hatred amongst the indigenous people.
Guest of honour Shanta said, "We need to help one another if we are to overcome the challenging situation unfolding in the State where the survival of indigenous Manipuris is at stake" .
Furthermore he asked if the Government has any plans for the unemployed people.
Resource person H Ibotombi Khuman, convernor JCILPS spoke on the necessity to implement ILP System in Manipur and advocate Wahengbam Lata Devi also spoke on crime against women and children in Manipur.
