Animals vaccinated at Chanam Sandrok village

In the collaboration of Department of Veterinary personnel and volunteers of Keirao Bitra Loumee Lup, social worker N Itomba Meetei today initiated a vaccination programme of domestic animals at chanam Sandrok village.
The vaccination programme, during which BQ and HS were administered to about 400 cattle under the supervision of Dr N chandramani, would be sustained with similar campaigns at Thiyam Konjin, Waithou Chiru, Phunal Maring, Keirao Langdum, Keirao Wangkhem, Keirao Bitra, Khanarok, Urup and Arapti villages.
According to Dr Chandramani, administration of BQ and HS would prevent fatalities of cattle from animal diseases.
stating that infected animals are vulnerable to disastrous consequences within a 24-hour period, Dr Chandramani allayed that administration of the said injections could prevent mass casualties.
Informing that the cattle need to be administered the said injections for every six months, Dr Chandramani also noted that Itomba had initiated similar campaign at the same locality in December last.
On being informed that some cattle of Chanam Sandrok village had shown signs of diseases, Itomba personally apprised Veterinary Department officials to provide necessary assistance to the cattle owners, Dr Chandramani maintained while calling upon the locals to convey any grievances that requires the Department's assistance through the social worker.
Loumee Lup advisor N Suresh urged the public to remain vigil for numerous individuals posing as social worker would surface with the Assembly elections round the corner.
