Kangpokpi, August 09 2021: The prolong curfew in the State had rendered many vulnerable families into the brink of starvation and at this critical juncture InSIDE-North East, a non profit organisation has reached out to around 3,000 families so far by distributing relief items.

The organisation distributed ration kits and medical items to 270 families of (Lambun) Joujangtek, Dollang, Longsai, Joupi, Kungpi Naosen, Boljol, Lhangnom, Hengmol, Songjang and Purum Likli.

Hejang Misao, Director, InSIDE-North East said that with Manipur becoming Covid red zone it was high time to take action and assist the fight against the pandemic.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to Crypto Relief India and Umeed Project on behalf of the people of Manipur for supplying the ration kits.

InSIDE North East has also distributed medical items provided by Goonj to the Covid Task Forces.

The kit contained 2 thermometers, pulse oximeter, Thermo Gun, 10 packets of Multi-Vitamin, 5 sanitizers, ORS, paracetamol, surgical gloves, masks.

With the assistance of 'Breath for India', face masks have also been handed over for free to the people who came forward for Covid vaccination.
