Imphal, September 25:
Amidst continuing allegation and counter charge hurled at one another the underground Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) said it will give exemplary punishment to two youths for their indulgence in anti-party activities.
The two persons hauled by the Red Army of the KCP have been identified as Ningthoujam Joychandra (30) and Salam Shantikumar (20).Both are from Thanga Salam of Bishnupur district.
According to KCPs publicity and information in-charge Akbar Pakhangba Mangang the two youths were nabbed from Keibul area some days back.
Akbar also contended that due to presence of some self-seeking individuals in the KCP from 1997 till early part of the current year the party came under undesired public glare and subsequently resulted in disintegration of the organization.
However, as better sense prevailed among the rank and file of the KCP some self-seeking leaders like KK Mangang and Pibarel Mangang had to be expelled as part of an intense campaign to cleanse the organization, Akbar said.
As the ousted leaders still hideously carried out their activities the Red Army was assigned to hauled up all anti-party activists who abused and threatened innocent people, said Akbar.
He also revealed that two persons with allegiance to the ousted leaders were picked up some days back and during interrogation all facts regarding anti-social activities of the reactionary group came to light.
Unlike the rival faction KCP follows the principle of providing opportunity to even guilty persons and as such Joychandra and Shantikumar would be shot in the legs instead of capital punishment so that they could rectify their conduct.
