Anti-West Bengal killing procession foiled

An attempt to storm the CM Bungalow by members of JAC, formed in connection with the suspicious death of a State native in West Bengal, was foiled by police today.
A procession was taken out by members of JAC and family members of the late A Rajen from Keishampat parking towards CM Bungalow.
However with the intervention of police personnel, the procession was halted near General Post Office.
However, a team of the JAC delegates was allowed to enter the CM Bungalow to present their case later.
The JAC has urged the CM to contact his West Bengal counterpart in bringing justice to the case and to immediately book the culprits involved in the killing.

Amom Rajen (46) of Wangoo Terakhong was found dead in a suspicious manner near Kochipur PS, around 10 km from Howrah Railway station in West Bengal on September 27 .
He was heading towards Chhatisgarh, where he was serving as a teacher at Paradise School, along with his daughter, a class II student of the same school.
Rajen headed towards the ticket counter at Howrah station, leaving his daughter at the station, to get tickets to Chhatisgarh for them.
His dead body was found some 10 km away from Howrah station.
Among others, the JAC has also demanded payment of ex-gratia; a Government job to the wife of the deceased and constituting a judicial enquiry into the matter.
