780 test positive, 11 more die due to coronavirus

Imphal, June 29 2021:
Second highest daily positivity rate for Manipur with 15.4 percent in the month of June, 780 persons returning positive results and 11 deaths reported in the last 24 .
This is how things panned out for Manipur on June 29 .
Earlier on June 21, Manipur had recorded a positivity rate of 15.54 pc.
The 780 positive cases is also the fifth highest in June, with Manipur having recorded 798 cases on June 1, 791 on June 4, 823 on June 6 and 785 on June 15 .
With 780 more cases the total number of people infected so far in Manipur now stands at 69,195 including 3823 Central security personnel.
Along with 780 more cases added to the cumulative tally, Manipur also witnessed 11 deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
Quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the COVID-19 Common Control Room in a statement said that the deceased belonged to Imphal East (1), Imphal West (6), Thoubal (3) and Chandel (1) .
They passed away at RIMS (2), JNIMS (4), Shija Hospital (2), Raj Medicity (2) and CHC, Chakpikarong (1).The cumulative number of deaths is now 1141 .
The 780 positive cases included 2 from the Central security personnel and of the 778 civilians, 376 were women.
The 778 cases were from Imphal East (160), Imphal West (201), Thoubal (120), Bishnupur (58), Kakching (45), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (153), Chandel (3), Senapati (3), Tengnoupal (8), Jiribam (2), Kamjong (3), Noney (11), Pherzawl (1) and Kangpokpi (3) .
In the last 24 hours, 488 persons were discharged including from home isolation (228), RIMS (19), JNIMS (7), CCCs (90) and CHICs (144) .
The number of active cases now stands at 5,923 (general population-5873 and Central security personnel -50) .
The recovery rate has seen a slight dip and now stands at 89.79 percent.
The total number of people who have got vaccinated is 5,48,916 .
The Government has also despatched a total of 1288 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 337 B Type Oxygen cylinders to different health centres in the last 24 hours.
Any person whose oxygen level drops below 94 percent have been asked to immediately seek medical help and report to the nearest CCC.
