495 positive, 13 more fatalities reported

Imphal, June 17 2021:
Out of 5884 test results received in the last 24 hours, 495 were found positive for coronavirus while 13 more persons died in the same period to take the total death tally to 1021 .
The daily positivity rate continues to be above 8 percent with today's figure standing at 8.41 percent.
Continuing with the daily double digit spike in the number of deaths, Manipur reported a total of 13 deaths in the last 24 hours, said a statement from the COVID-19 Control Room, quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Bureau.
The deaths included 2 from Imphal West, Imphal East (6), Kakching (1), Bishnupur (1), Kangpokpi (2) and Ukhrul (1) .
The cumulative number of deaths now stands at 1021 .
The total of 495 positive cases include three from the Central security personnel and they were tested at RIMS (20), JNIMS (20), District Hospitals (313) and other testing centres (142 ) .
The positive cases from amongst the general population are from Imphal East (106), Imphal West (143), Thoubal (45), Bishnupur (48), Kakching (18), Ukhrul (19), Churachandpur (54), Chandel (4), Senapati (3), Tamenglong (29), Tengnoupal (10), Kangpokpi (6) and Pherzawl (7) .
With this the cumulative figure of positive cases has gone up to 62,343 (general population-58,547 and Central security personnel-3796) and the number of active cases now stands at 9,102 (general population-9072, Central security personnel-30).On the other hand a total of 458 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours.
376 persons were discharged from home isolation, 5 from RIMS and one from JNIMS and 76 from other Covid Care Centres.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is 52,220 (general population-48,459 and Central security personnel-3761) .
The recovery rate stands at 83.76 percent.
In the last 24 hours, a total 1856 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 432 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres.
The total number of people who have received the vaccination jabs now stands at 4,83,335 .
