692 more vaccinated

Imphal, March 17 2021:
A total of 692 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday taking the cumulative number of vaccination to 77,819 in the State.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 30,886 of the 77,819 people vaccinated against the virus so far are health care workers.
On the other hand, eight individuals including one personnel of CAPF were tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours at Escent Diagnostics, Churachandpur, Noney and Public Hospital.
The civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Bishnupur (1), Senapati (2) and Noney (4) .
With no report of COVID related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 373 .
Meanwhile, four COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,323 (general population 25,888 and Central security personnel 3,435) .
This figure includes 28 active cases (general population 26 and Central security personnel 2) and 28,922 recovered cases (general population 25,493 and Central security personnel 3,429).The recovery rate stands at 98.63 per cent.
