Active cases drop to 38

Imphal, April 11 2022:
Following recovery of 12 Covid-19 positive people who have been subsequently discharged from home isolation (11) and Covid Care Facility (1), the State's active caseload has declined to 38 and all of them belong to the general population.
Meanwhile, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 2.2 per cent as six persons were confirmed positive out of 274 samples tested during the last 24 hours.
The fresh positive cases are residents of Imphal West (2), Thoubal (2), Kakching (1) and Tengnoupal (1), according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State as on Monday is 1,37,162 (general population 1,32,148 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
It includes 1,35,004 recovered cases (general population 1,29,997 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.43 per cent but the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
A total of 102 D-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
At present, 299 (out of 300) Covid beds of JNIMS and another 189 (out of 190) of RIMS are vacant.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,04,455 (first dose 15,48,014, second dose 11,88,464 and precautionary dose 67,977) .
Till Sunday, 50.77 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine whereas 61.58 per cent has received the first dose.
