Intending candidate Poireihanba joins RPI (A)

Imphal, October 20 2021: Social worker Mongjam Poireihanba, who is preparing to contest the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election as a candidate from Lamlai assembly constituency, has joined Republican Party of India (Athawale) .

While welcoming him in a reception function held at the party office at Keishamthong on Wednesday, state president Thounaojam Maheshwar said that Poireihanba's membership to the party will increase the party's strength and profile significantly.

Poireihanba said that he joined the party after consulting the party's national president and state president as he, does not want to get involved in the race for ticket but focus his attention towards bringing peace, development and stability in the society.

He also said that he had consulted his decision to join RPI-A with his supporters and elders of Lamlai AC.
