NBCA edge USC 2-1 for second win

Imphal, November 03 2026: Nambol Brink Cultural Association (NBCA), Takyel Khongbal, edged past United Sporting Club (USC), Phayeng, with a 2-1 victory today to secure their second win in three matches at the ongoing 31st L Sangita Devi Memorial 1st Division Football League 2026-27 .

Coming off a dominant 4-0 trouncing of IFC in their previous outing, NBCA carried their momentum into the first half, breaking the deadlock in the 44th minute through a clinical strike from Naorem Mangalsana.

NBCA doubled their advantage in the 57th minute when Grison Laitonjam calmly converted a penalty.

Refusing to back down, USC fought their way back into the contest just three minutes later, with Ningthoujam Moramba pulling a goal back in the 60th minute.

Despite the late surge, USC failed to sustain enough pressure to find an equaliser.

NBCA seamlessly ramped up their defensive line in the closing stages, successfully denying USC any further breakthroughs to seal the 2-1 victory.
