Imphal, October 30 2026: In a remarkable display of martial arts prowess and sportsmanship, the student-athletes of ICFAI University, Tripura, have brought laurels to the University by winning a total of six medals including 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals at the All India Inter-University Thang-Ta (Men & Women) Championship 2026-2027 .

The prestigious tournament was hosted by the National Sports University (NSU), Manipur, and held at the iconic Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in Imphal.

The exceptional medal-winning performance highlighted the university's growing dominance in combat sports at the National level event.

Facing stiff competition from universities across India, the ICFAI Tripura contingent demonstrated extraordinary technique, agility, and determination throughout the championship, said the university in a press release.
