UPWA win Langthabal State Level Men's 7 A Side Football Tournament

Imphal, May 27 2015 : UPWA Langthabal Kunja emerged as the champion of 1st State Level Men's 7 A Side Football Tournament organized by Langthabal Chingkha Youth Club (LCHYC) at Langthabal Chingkha Main Ground by thrashing Hemanta FC Chajing 7-1 in the title match on Wednesday.

Hemanta FC could not reproduce their semifinal performance and were reduce to a pale shadow in the all important match against UPWA.

UPWA players scored regularly in each half to decimate their rival to lift the championship trophy.

Gyaneshwor initiate the annihilation of Hemanta FC in 22nd minute.

Two minutes later, Ksh Inao added another one (24th min).

K Milan came to the party in 26th min to hand over UPWA a 3-0 lead.

Later, Milan added two more goals in 34th and 48th min to emerge as the top scorer of the match with three goals.

L Boby and Th Banti also added one each in 29th and 45th min to increase the tally for UPWA.

Abung, on the other side, scored the consolation goal for Hemanta FC in 36th min.

Individual award winners, Best Goal Keeper: Kh Nanao (UPWA); Best Player: Abung (Hemanta FC); Top Scorer: O Gyaneshwor (12 goals, UPWA); Best Discipline Team: Tiger Kick FC, Langthabal Chingkha.
