Meiraba Luwang gets support from Olympic Gold Quest Junior Scholarship programme

Imphal, September 07 2015:
Manipur ace Under-15 badminton player Meiraba Luwang (13) will now be supported under Olympic Gold Quest (OFQ)Junior Scholarship programme and he will be trained at the the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy in Bengaluru.
Along with him, Lakshya Sen (14) has also been selected by the OFQ.
Meiraba won the All India Sub Junior Ranking tournament in Gulbarga.
Meiraba who was seeded 7th, beat top seed Aakash Yadav in the U-15 singles final.
He also won the U-15 doubles event with his partner Akash Thakur on Sunday.
Lakshya won the India junior international championship in Pune defeating his elder brother Chirag Sen in the final.
Earlier Lakshya had beaten the number 1 seed from Thailand in the quarter final.
Lakshya Sen and Meiraba Luwang are both supported under the OGQ Junior Scholarship program.
They train at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy in Bengaluru.
