Imphal, July 27 2025: The 1st Cash Prize Open Armwrestling Tournament hosted by United Youth Organisation (UYO) at its community hall at Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai under the aegis of the Manipur Armwrestling Association came to a close today.

Thokchom Aditya of Nambol Hr Sec School emerged the champion in the right arm event for 55 kg category as Warepam Tejmani of UGC School and Lourembam Dhiraj of Tera Yengkhom Leirak finished second and third.

Ch Bikash of NG College meanwhile won the 60 kg category right arm event as RK Yaithengbam of Mega Manipur School and Angomjambam Mangai of Netaji Memorial Club secured second and third.

Gurumayum Rohit Sharma of Galaxy Institute on the other hand sealed the 65 kg category right arm title finishing ahead of Amom Lankhomba of Tiger Camp and K Chingkheinganba of Tera Lukram Leirak.

The above 65 kg category right hand title in the meantime went to Huirem Kheljit of Pioneer Gym as Mutum Jiban of MPSC and Ngangom Rigan of Utlou Makha Leikai Gym finished second and third.

In the below 65 kg category left hand competition, Amom Lankhomba of Tiger camp secured the first position as Moirangthem Malemkhomba of St Joseph and Gurumayum Rohit of Galaxy Institute finished second and third.

In the above 65 kg category left hand competition, RK Ajhaljit of DM College sealed the top place as Ngangom Rigan of Utlou Makha Leikai Gym and Thounaojam Nicholas of Wangkhei Angom Leikai finished second and third.

The tournament was sponsored by Lourembam Chitreshwar in memory of Lourembam Tombi.
