21st Veteran Cricket Tournament : TCMDC outlast REYS by 8 wickets to set up final date with YWC-L

Imphal, January 27 2025: TCMDC, Thongju prevailed over REYS, Nagamapal by 8 wickets in the second semi-final match of the ongoing 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament to set up the final date with YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) .

YWC-L had earlier booked the final ticket with a 122-run thrashing of CYCLONE, Thangmeiband in the first semi-final match.

REYS won the toss and opted to bat first this morning at Langthabal Public Ground.

They posted a respectable total of 232 runs for 8 wickets in 30 overs thanks to S Jayenta's 94-ball 135 but TCMDC rode on L Krishna's unbeaten 98 off 67 balls and Oinam Gulshannanda's 49-ball 55 to post the winning 236 for 2 in 26.5 overs.

For TCMDC, Somorjit returned with the best bowling figures of 3/41 in 6 overs as L Krishna, Sanjit and Kh Bijesh picked a wicket apiece.

For TCMDC, Dhawan and Bedamohon chipped in with a wicket apiece.

The final match is slated for January 30 .
