15 teams in fray for men's regu title in 36th Senior State Sepaktakraw Championships

Imphal, June 24 2022: 15 teams clubbed into two groups will vie for men's regu top honour in the 36th Senior Men's and Women's State Sepaktakraw Championship due to be hosted by Youth Amateur Welfare Association, Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai under the auspices of the All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association (AMSTA) from June 25 .

Meanwhile 10 teams clubbed into two groups will compete for in the women's championship beginning June 27 .

Teams clubbed in the men's competition Group A are IMSUC, Heingang; YAWA-A, Singjamei; MPSC-A, Imphal; MPSC-C, Imphal; PUC-B, Kairang; SAIRC-B, Imphal; SAIRC-C, Imphal and AKSTA, Kumbi while the Group B comprise of 7 teams viz- YAWA-B, Singjamei; SWC, Hiyanglam, ALSA, Top Siphai; PUC-A, Kairang; SAIRC-A, Imphal; MPSC-B, Imphal and SAIRC-D, Imphal.

Meanwhile teams who will be competing in the women's regu event are as follows.

Group A: MPSC, Imphal; SAIRC-B, Imphal; PUC-B, Kairang; SAIRC-C, Imphal and SWC-A, Hiyanglam
Group B: SAIRC-C; PUC-A, Kairang; SAIRC-D; SWC-B, Hiyanglam and IMSUC, Heingang
The women's competition will see MPSC take on SAIRC-B in the opening match at 7.30 am .

YAWA-B will play SAIRC-A in the men's opening match tomorrow at YAWA indoor hall.

There will be 8 matches tomorrow including the opening match.
