State shooting competition begins

Imphal, July 15 2022: The 31st All Manipur Shooting Competition 2022 being organised by Manipur Rifle Association got underway at the Khuman Lampak Shooting Range here on Friday.

The competition drew 123 shooters representing Imphal West District Rifle Association, Imphal East District Rifle Association, Thoubal District Rifle Association, Blossom School Indoor Shooting Center, Jupiter IPS School Schooling Academy, National Sports University, Manipur Police Sporting Club and Assam Regimental Center (Army).

The shooters will vie for honours in 10m rifle & air pistol, 25m pistol, 50m rifle & pistol, shotgun and 25m personal license gun events.

The opening event was attended by minister Leis-hangthem Susindro Meitei, MLA Kimneo Hangshing and Hero Thokchom, director Iboyaima Hospital, as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
