Kasa Koso Football tourney concludes

"Kasa Koso Football Tournament-2018" which featured 10 teams of different villages and sports club came to an end today at Pudunamei village playground, Mao after four exciting days.
The tournament was organised and sponsored by 109 BN CRPF under the aegis of Rajesh Kumar, IPS, IGP, M&N Sector CRPF under Civic Action Programme 2018 with an objective to extend the hands of friendship and to encourage the youth to honour the diversity of our society and to promote game spirit.
Vinod Kumar, Commandant, 109 BN, CRPF welcomed the chief guest L Dikho, Minister, PHED and other dignitaries, invitees and spectators.
The colourful closing ceremony was attended by police/administrative officials of Mao and huge gathering of people from surrounding villages.
On the occasion, chief guest L Dikho praised the initiative of 109 BN CRPF to promote games by organizing such tournament.
He also said that this kind of work will accelerate the feeling of indelible brotherhood between CRPF and people of Mao.
The Chief guest also felicitated the sand runners-up teams with trophies and cash prize of Rs 10,000 and Rs.5,000 respectively.
During the ceremony, sports dresses and medals were also distributed to all the players of winners and runners up teams by 109 Bn CRPF.
The Motto of the tournament was to promote harmony among different community and to encourage sportsmanship said a press statement of the Battalion.
In the final match, Song Song Youth and Students' Organisation thrashed Fiishufii (Pudunamei) by 4-0 goals to win the title.
The chairman and villagers of surrounding areas appreciated the work done by CRPF for their community in the remote areas of Manipur.
