CCPur, December 08 2018:
Eastern Schedule Caste Students Union, Andro has threatened to launch stringent forms of agitation if the enquiry report concerning the mark manipulation in the HSLC examination 2018, is not declared at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Eastern Schedule Caste Students Union joint secretary Shyamkumar Ningthoujam said that the enquiry report of the mark manipulation of the 4th position holder, Hijam Archana, in the 2018 HSLC examination was submitted to the authority concerned on August 24.He stated that the failure of the authority concerned to take up any positive steps and the act of BOSEM issuing notification for the upcoming HSLC exam 2019, on November 12, instead of solving the matter, are highly condemnable.
The union submitted a memorandum to BOSEM Chairman on November 18 not to conduct HSLC examination until the issue of mark manipulation is solved, he added.
He warned that the union, along with other CSOs, is set to launch stringent forms of agitation, including shutting of BOSEM building and banning the HSLC examination, if BOSEM and the State Government fail to fulfil the demands of the union at the earliest.
The authorities concerned will be held responsible for any unwanted incidents, he asserted.
The Education Minister is constantly voicing for "Quality education" but the irony of the situation is that the enquiry report has not even declared to the public yet, Shyamkumar said.
