TSA J & T condemns

The Thadou Students' Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong Branch (TSA J & T) vehemently condemned and opposed the alleged physical assault of a native women vendor in full public view near Oriental High School, Mission Compound of Jail Road, Silchar on November 24 and decried the act of capturing the incident to make a video clip which went viral in the social media, said a statement released by TSA J & T .
Stating that the incident has deeply pain, TSA J & T termed the incident as 'cheap and uncivilized act" and cautioned that the viral video of the incident could disturb peace, harmony and create misunderstanding among the people, the statement added.
TSA J & T further maintained that such unwanted barbaric and uncivilized actions upon a poor and helpless native women vendor would not be tolerated by the students' association and appealed to stop circulation the video of the incident in social media as it could bring hatred and enmity among the people.
The Thadou Students' Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong Branch (TSA J & T) further questioned the Govt of Assam as well as the Central Govt that "Didn't the incident effect or break the constitution of India which is based on Equality and Human Rights?", added the statement.
Strongly criticising the barbaric act, TSA J & T urged the concerned authority to give befitting punishment to the culprits involved as per the law to prevent such incident happening in future and appealed the authority to provide compensation to the injured persons for her treatment.
TSA J & T also appealed the general public to maintain peace and harmony to thwart any unwanted incidents, the statement added.
