2025 Moscow Wushu Stars Championship : L Linthoingambi strikes two gold as State athletes amass 16 medals

Imphal, June 04 2025:
Manipur athletes produced stellar performances at the 2025 Moscow Wushu Stars Championship to win 16 medals for India with Laitonjam Linthoingambi making the headlines by clinching 2 gold medals of the total 6 fetched by State athletes at the prestigious event.
Laitonjam Linthoingambi bagged gold medals in junior girls' Taijiquan and Taijijian events as Hanjabam Langlentombi, Thangjam Jollyson, Kangjam Christina and Thangjam Wangthoi added a goal medal apiece.

State athletes also added 6 silver and 4 bronze medals to the National tally.
H Langlentombi and Thangjam Jollyon won the gold medals in the senior women's and junior girl's Nanquan event respectively while Kangjam Christina bagged the other gold medal in the sub-junior (Group B) girls' Taijijian event today.
Later in the day, Thangjam Wangthoi also won a gold medal in the junior boys' Gunshu event.
The silver medallists in the meantime include Hanjabam Kamajit who finished second in both the senior men's Taijiquan and Taijijian events; Thangjam Wangthoi who finished second in both the Changquan and Daoshu events for junior boys; and Thongram Sanaroz who finished second in the Taijijian event for sub-junior girls.
Suraj Mayanglambam also won a silver medal in the senior men's Gunshu event.
Meanwhile, State athletes who settled for bronze medals are Mayanglambam Suraj, who finished third in the senior men's Daoshu event; Thongram Sanaroz, who finished third in Taijiquan event; and Aheibam Ngamba,who finished third in the senior men's Taijijian event.
Langlentombi who had won a gold medal yesterday in the Nanquan event went on to win a bronze medal in the Nangun competition.
As many as 13 athletes are part of the National team being led by Shanglakpam Chaobi Devi as the women's coach.
The championship will run till June 7 .
