Imphal, January 02 2025: YWC, Langthabal (YWC-L) thumped UCC, Uripok by 5 wickets for the third Group B victory in the ongoing 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground.

YWC-L won the toss and bundled out UCC for 77 runs in 18.2 overs after electing to field first.

YWC-L's Sasi (3/15), Samananda (2/22) and Kumarjit (2/3) shared 7 wickets in the first innings that saw only Priyo 28 and Bhogendro 13 registering double digit runs for UCC, Later in the chase, Manaobi scored an unbeaten 27 to steer YWC-L to winning 79 in 13.1 overs.

Priyo (2/22), Ramesh (1/16) and Jugalkishore (1/22) were among the wickets for UCC.

Sasi of YWC who enjoyed a three wicket haul was adjudged man of the match.

LCCC, Lilong Chajing will play CHAMP in a Group C league match tomorrow.
