RCA, AKSDO triumph in 4th TDCA Cricket Tourney

Imphal, May 31 2022: AKSDO notched up a 7 wicket win over AMCA, Moijing as RCA thumped CAL by 10 runs in an all-Lilong encounter in the 4th TDCA T-20 Tournament.

In the 16th match of the tourney, AKSDO chose to field first and restricted AMCA to 54 runs for 6 in allotted 12 overs (truncated) before chasing the target in 10 overs at the cost of three wickets.

Sadam (16 retd hurt), Yahiya (12) and Basanta (13) were the run getters for AMCA in their innings which saw Ingobi of AKSDO scalping twice and Sanjit and Kadamjit sharing a wicket each.

Later in the chase, Thoibi added a significant total of 36 runs off 33 balls and Kadamjit (17) hit a six to steer AKSDO to 60 for 3 in 10 overs.

Pravesh of AMCA took two wickets but his effort was not enough to contain AKSDO batters.

Ingobi of AKSDO was named man of the match.

In the 17th match of the match, RCA bundled out for 59 runs in 10 overs as Akip of CAL wreaked havoc to clinch five wickets but did well to restrict CAL to 50 for 5 wickets in 12 overs to seal all the points.

Only Imran with 15 runs was able to make a double digit score for RCA as Akip swept the line up and Hamza, Nawas Sharif, Danish and Ziour Rahaman picked up a wicket each.

Despite Sharif's 22 and Akip's 14, CAL failed to study the asking rate and thus succumbed to a 10 run loss.

Saba Khan of RCA took two wickets in this innings for 7 runs in his spell of 3 runs while his compatriots, Afzal, Syed Hussain and Sameer bagged a wicket each while maintaining a good economy at the same time.

Akip of CAL who shone with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.
