Imphal, April 29 2024: Sarit-Sarak Federation of India in collaboration with Sarit-Sarak Association, New Delhi will organise the First National Sarit-Sarak Championship-2024 at Akhil Bharat Hindu Maha Sabha auditorium from May 17 to 19 .

In a release, Federation's secretary L Raju Singh informed that championship will have two events of 'Ahanba Chainaba' and 'Anishuba Chainaba' .

The competition was earlier scheduled to be held in Imphal but postponed due to the ongoing conflict.

It will now be participated by 20 teams from Manipur, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, it added.

The release further conveyed that the sport of Sarit-Sarak where a player without a weapon faces his armed opponent has become popular in other states for its distinct style.
