Night football: Songpu gives TASA semifinal berth, SMT defeat PMT

Kangpokpi, November 24 2021: Former Neroca player Songpu Singsit shone as Twilang Area Sporting Association(TASA) drubbed Taphou Football Club to secure the first semifinal league round spot in the ongoing Kuki Football Academy's Open Night Football Tournament on Tuesday night.

Songpu Singsit had a brilliant night as he scored a hattrick in the 17th, 39th and 60th minutes to help TASA register an easy 3-0 win over Taphou Football Club, who had earlier defeated Real Friends' United Kangpokpi.

SMT Haipi as well had a3-0 win over Paothong Memorial Team to become the second team to earn a spot in the semifinal league round.

Paothong Memorial Team despite suffering a dramatic loss to Haipi's side had dominated the first half but they failed to convert any goals.

SMT Haipi, however, came out strdngly in the second half to find three quick goals from Limkhanthang double's in the 61st and 72nd minutes and another goal from Seiboi in the 66th minute to secure a dominant win.
