Imphal, July 27 2025: FC Raengdai laboured to a 1-0 victory over Asufii FA to clinch the title of the 2nd Premier League 2025-26 at the Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, on Sunday.

Giftson Kamei emerged as the match-winner for Raengdai, slotting home the decisive goal in the 21st minute after a fiercely contested opening spell.

Despite relentless pressure from Asufii FA in search of an equaliser, Raengdai's resolute defence held firm to ensure Kamei's strike stood as the difference between the two sides.

The victory marks a historic achievement for FC Raengdai, capping off a gruelling campaign with silverware, while Asufii FA were left to rue missed opportunities in a tightly fought encounter.

18 teams participated in the second edition of the Premier League.

The line-up included Imphal Youth Football Club (IYFC), Rising Athletic Union (RAU), Wangoi Football Association (WAFA), Southern Sporting Union (SSU), Angtha Football Club (AFC), Classic Football Academy (CFA), Football Club Raengdai (FCR), Athletic Brother's Association (ABA), All Moirang Football Association (AMOFA), North Imphal Sporting Association (NISA), United Chandel Football Club (UCFC), Youth Social Welfare Association (YSWA), Uplift Development Organisation (UDO), Sagolband United (SU), ASUFII Football Academy (Asufii FA), Kshetri Iril Mapal Youtn Club (KIYC), Dimapur Road Athletic Organisation (DMRAO), and Anouba Imagi Mangai (AIM) .
