AR, CPC script wins in DGAR Polo

Imphal, January 27 2025: Day-7 of the DGAR Men and Women's Polo Championship 2025 at Imphal Pologround saw Assam Rifles Men's Team-A, AR Women's Team and Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CPC) scripting wins against their respective opponents.

As per a release by PRO IGAR (S), P Ojit Singh scored five goals to guide AR Men's Team A to 5-2 victory over Tentha Polo Club, which reduced the score deficit through L Rohit Singh and L Thomson.

In the second men's match of the day, 0 Rozer scored five goals as CPC outplayed KRYPSA Polo Club 13-2 .

The other CPC goal scorers were Leishemba (3), A Basanta (2), Th Kaoba (1) and M Bhupendrajit (1), while an own goal added to misery of the KRYPSA side, whose goals were scored by L Rohit Singh and H Renison Singh.

In the women's match, AR Women's Team emerged victorious with a solid 4-2 win against Ibudhou Pakhangba Polo Club (IPPC), demonstrating exceptional coordination and strategy.

Mutum Enourembi with two goals and one goal each by Veronica Oinam and Victoria Oinam ensured victory for AR Women's team, while Salam Ngounu accounted for the two goals of IPPC.

The championship continues to uphold the rich legacy of Manipuri polo, with each match intensifying the competition as teams vie for the prestigious title, the release added.
