YAS releases calendar for selection trials

Imphal, August 27 2024: Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports, Manipur has released a tentative 2024-25 calendar for inter-school selection trials, ahead of the State Level School Games.

The YAS plans to hold the district level trials for sepaktakraw (U19 girls), football (U17 boys & girls), judo (U14/U17 boys & girls) and wushu (U17/U19 boys & girls) in the first week of September, 2024; and the state level trials in the second week of September.

The district level trials for badminton (U14/U17 boys & girls), wrestling (U14 boys, U17 girls (F/S)/U7 boys (G/R), boxing (U14 boys & U17 boys/girls) and football (U14 boys & girls) are planned to take place in the second week of September; and the state level trials in the third week of September.

District level trials for kabaddi (U17 boys & girls), table tennis (U14/U17 boys & girls), taekwondo (U14/U17 boys & girls) and fencing (U14/U17/U19 boys & girls) are scheduled for the third week of September, with the state level trials planned for the last week of September.

District level trials for handball U14/U17 boys & girls), weightlifting (U17/19 boys & girls), archery (U14/U17 boys & girls) and athletics (U14/U17 boys & girls) are scheduled for the first week of October, with state level trials planned for the second week of October.

District level trials for cycling (U14/U17 boys & girls), football (U19 boys & girls), sepaktakraw (U14/U17/U19 boys & girls) and thang-ta (U14/U17/19 boys & girls) are scheduled for the second week of October, with state level trials planned for the third week of October.

District level trials for gymnastics (U14/U17 boys & girls), shooting (U19 boys & girls) and hockey (U14 boys & U17 girls) are planned for the third week of October, and state level trials for the last week of October.

District level trials for table tennis (U14/U17 boys & girls) kho-kho (U17 boys & girls), volleyball (U14/U17 boys & girls and karate (U17 boys & girls) are planned for the first week of November, and state level trials for the second week of November.
