USA, UPAA secure identical victories in State League

Imphal, March 26 2025: USA and UPAA both recorded an identical 2-1 win in Wednesday's fixtures of the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

USA struck at both ends to outscore Rahee UC and pick up all three points.

USA struck early as Thounaojam Suraj Meitei broke the deadlock in the 6th minute, slotting home to give his side the lead.

Despite their bright start, USA were unable to add to their advantage before half-time.

After the interval, Keisham Dingkal Singh doubled USA's lead with a composed finish in the 50th minute.

Rahee UC responded with determination, pulling a goal back in the 78th minute through Julian Keishing.

However, their late surge proved insufficient as USA held firm to claim all three points.

Meanwhile, UPAA secured a 2-1 victory over YOSC in a closely contested encounter.

Sorokhaibam Amitkumar put UPAA ahead in the 24th minute, before Konsam Angamba Meitei extended their lead shortly after half-time with a 53rd-minute strike.

YOSC fought back valiantly, with Yumnam Harison Singh reducing the deficit in the 80th minute.

Yet, despite their late push, UPAA managed to see out the game and secure the win.
