SUK plans Mukna competition for students

Imphal, April 29 2024:
Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) would be organising a state level Mukna (traditional wrestling) competition for students in May this year.
Speaking to the media at its Wangkhei Junior High School office, SUK secretary (health & sports) Moirangthem Basco Chanu informed that the competition as a part of the union's campaign for promoting traditional games will be held on May 18 and 19 at the indoor hall of Manipur University, Canchipur.
Specifying that competitions would be conducted in below 60 kg and above 60 kg categories, she urged students to participate in the competition and sought public support in its endeavour to promote traditional games.
Interested students can obtain application forms from the SUK office.
The top three winners will be presented cash prize of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively along with certificates and mementos.
